Call For Papers

Future wireless communications, 5G/B5G will support various emerging usage scenarios and applications including enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB), ultra-reliable and low-latency communications (URLLC) and massive machine type communications (mMTC) with a high variability of their performance attributes. While enormous efforts in wireless communication have been made for developing 5G/B5G, it has been found that researchers from UK and Korea have strong interests to collaborate with each other via some previous events. This workshop is intended to introduce research activities from the UK and Korea on 5G/B5G, exchange various opinions and find the effective collaboration ways between the UK and Korea. We invite technical papers addressing current research activities and proposing collaborative research directions.

Technical Topics

Potential topics in this workshop include, but are not limited to:

  • mmWave channel modelling/measurements and physical layer design
  • Flexible spectrum use in 5G/B5G Communication (incl. LAA, CR, DSA, Licensed/Unlicensed aggregation)
  • Cognitive spectrum access for M2M / MTC communications in 5G/B5G
  • Spectrum sensing, management and mobility for 5G/B5G
  • Novel network architectures for distributed and flexible network functions in 5G/B5G
  • Cross-layer optimization design for 5G/B5G
  • System-level modelling for 5G/B5G
  • Beamforming, precoding and space-time coding schemes for vehicular Communication
  • Standardization, Regulatory and Economic aspects of dynamic spectrum management
  • 5G Applications, Use cases, Services and Testbeds

ICTC 2018 workshops invite the submission of original, unpublished research work (including position papers) that is not currently under review elsewhere. Authors may submit either a 6-page full paper for selected journal publication or a 3-page short paper via https://edas.info/N24658. The submissions should be formatted with single spaced, two-column pages using at least 10 pt (or higher) size fonts on A4 or letter pages. The maximum number of pages is 6 for full papers and 3 for short papers. Please make sure that both full papers and short papers must be at minimum 3 pages in length. Detailed formatting and submission instructions will be available on the conference web site (http://www.ictc2018.org).
